Arsenal check on England star

Arsenal are keeping close tabs on England Under-21 keeper Jack Butland.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had the shot-stopper watched in both of England's games over the past week.
With Wojciech Szczesny now established as No.1 choice at the Emirates, Manuel Almunia and Vito Mannone both set to leave and Lukasz Fabianski saying he is not happy being No.2, Wenger needs a good back-up keeper.
Bristol-born Butland, 18, is currently on loan at Cheltenham from Birmingham City but could be available for as little as £1m - although the Blues would probably demand lots of add ons for a player they have under contract for another four years.
Butland has played at all levels for his country from Under-16 to Under-21 after coming through the Birmingham Academy.
Arsenal are likely to face competition for the player from Sunderland who have had an injury crisis among their keepers recently.
